All contributions have one thing in common: They are very personal reflections on intercultural encounters. The authors share the perspective of being a part of the encounter and, therefore, contribute to what happened. That may have been for the better or worse, as a part-of-the-world assumption of qualitative researchers or systemic approaches.

This assumption reaches beyond often-quoted cultural dimensions and the idea that cultures can be categorized.
